Sir Martin Sorrell's S4 Capital appoints Poran Malani as director, India ops

Malani will head S4Capital along with its agencies MediaMonks and MightyHive.

Sir Martin Sorrell’s latest venture S4 Capital has appointed Poran Malani as director of its India operations. In a recent advertising and marketing event in Kochi, Sorrell revealed that S4 Capital is set to open offices in Mumbai and Bangalore.

With over 30 years in the industry, Malani has had stints with agencies like Ogilvy India and McCann. He has also played the role of a consultant with Coca-Cola and Vodafone in the past. Malani had also founded Fair Fern, a marketing and advertising consultancy in 2017.

About the appointment, global trade media websites quoted Sir Martin Sorrell, executive chairman, S4 Capital saying, “India is a country that we admire and respect. We expect great things from Poran in a short amount of time. We believe that the shift to digital presents both MediaMonks and MightyHive with significant opportunities in a market that will become even more important as India becomes the most populous country on earth.”

Sorrell has earlier revealed that S4 Capital is launching MediaMonks, a creative digital production company in India to be followed by MightyHive, a programmatic solutions agency.
