Making the announcement, Ash Willis, Head of Cloud Partnerships and Alliances for Google Cloud in Asia Pacific and Japan said, “India is a key growth market for Google Cloud, and Amitabh is joining us at an exciting time.”
Based in Bangalore, Amitabh’s key responsibilities will be building adequate channel capacity and competency, driving success through Google Cloud’s partnership model, and deepening the reach of Google Cloud products and solutions in the Indian market.
Commenting on his new role, Amitabh Jacob said, “With only 10% of global workloads estimated to be in the cloud, adoption is still very nascent and companies are really only just getting started. I believe there is a massive opportunity out there and I am thrilled to be part of Google Cloud at this crucial point in its growth story."
