In an interview with afaqs for the 2018 CMO special, we asked her what was the toughest part of being a brand marketer. She told us “In today’s connected environment, old-school rules of marketing – akin to broadcasting – have become passé. Today, the one who can connect effectively with each individual shopper wins the day. Data, analytics and the ability to mine them efficiently are key to being successful; it’s called ‘MarTech’”
Soni has previously worked as executive vice president at Star India, and as a principal at McKinsey & Company. At Myntra, she was responsible for handling their marketing operations and at Jabong, she was responsible for managing the profits and losses of the company.
