Arvind Fashions Limited has named Amisha Jain as its new managing director and chief executive officer, effective August 13, 2025. She will succeed Shailesh Chaturvedi, whose five-year term as MD and CEO ends in January 2026.
The appointment, approved by the company’s Board of Directors on July 16, marks Jain’s return to Arvind Fashions. An INSEAD and McKinsey alumna, Jain brings over 25 years of experience in technology, consumer, and retail sectors. She has previously held leadership roles at Levi Strauss & Co., Zivame, Nike India, and the Arvind Group.
Until recently, Jain was managing director and SVP for South Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe at Levi’s, where she oversaw high double-digit growth and helped the brand achieve top equity rankings in India.
Commenting on the development, Shailesh Chaturvedi said, “The last few years as the MD & CEO of AFL have been one of the most satisfying part of my over 30-year career in this industry. AFL has a great future ahead of it and I am also excited about the next phase of my personal and professional life. I am thankful to Sanjay Lalbhai and Kulin for their trust and support over the years. I will always keep rooting for AFL."
Kulin Lalbhai, vice chairman and non-executive director, Arvind Fashions said, “Under Shailesh’s leadership, AFL has executed a sharp turn around post Covid including consolidation of our brands portfolio, driven by profitable growth, and strengthening of the balance sheet. Shailesh has been instrumental in leading the business to this stage and we are extremely grateful to him for his contributions."
Elaborating on the company's new leadership, Kulin Lalbhai said, "As AFL prepares for launching itself into the next orbit of growth, we are delighted to welcome Amisha back to AFL. She has worked at Arvind in her earlier stint and is aligned to the group’s values and vision. Since then, she led the turnaround of Zivame, and recently led the transformation and scale up of Levi’s in South Asia, Middle East, Africa and Eastern European markets. She has a strong understanding of the new age consumer & we believe she is rightly positioned to lead AFL in its future journey. We wish her all the best for her new role.”
Speaking on her appointment, Amisha Jain, said, "I am thrilled to come back to AFL which is all set for an exciting growth journey ahead. Shailesh and team have helped create a strong foundation and I believe AFL is now ready to unlock the strength of its portfolio of market leading brands to its full potential. I want to thank Kulin and the Board for believing in me and I look forward to working with the team at AFL to take it to even greater heights."
