On Wednesday, 7th February 2007, the Ford Fiesta 1.4 Duratorq TDCi emerged as the Most Fuel Efficient Car in the Bosch Motoring Mileage Run 2007, a unique real condition mileage rally organized by Business Standard Motoring.
The Fiesta 1.4L Duratorq clocked an impressive average of 25.63 km/litre in real road conditions. It also emerged winner in the 'Above 1200cc to 2000cc Diesel' category.

The BS Mileage Run 2007, in Time- Distance-Speed format*, took the participants through a 450 km route on the outskirts of Mumbai (Panvel to Chiplun) included city traffic, suburban traffic and National Highway 17 with a ghat section en-route. The Fiesta won in the face of stiff competition from other automobile manufacturers including Hyundai Motor India Ltd., Audi India, General Motors India Ltd., Daimler Chrysler India Ltd., Skoda, Mahindra & Mahindra and Nissan.
In August 2006, the Ford Fiesta had entered the Limca Book of Records in a first-of-its-kind Max Mileage Marathon organised by Autocar India where the diesel returned an average of 31.48 kilometers/litre while the petrol returned an average of 22.43 kilometers/litre under ideal road conditions.
Recently, Ford India launched the Diet Diesel campaign, to establish Ford's global leadership in modern diesel engine technology and create awareness about its proprietary DuraTorq TDCi technology.
The Fiesta has been a runaway success ever since its launch and is a popular choice with customers till date. The Fiesta continues to be in high demand and constitutes a large portion of Ford's sales.
