Whirlpool of India, a subsidiary of the Whirlpool Corporation, a global manufacturer and marketer of major home appliances, today announced their venture into a new category in the Indian market – Home UPS. Whirlpool “Elantra” H – UPS is the first Home UPS with the 6th Sense Technology, which needs minimal human intervention.

Equipped with Whirlpool’s patented “6th Sense” technology, Whirlpool “Elantra” H – UPS is the only inverter with Auto Sense Intelligent control, which will provide maximum power and back up time. This technology monitors the output level and battery voltage and also corrects the Power Factor while battery charging. Whirlpool “Elantra” H-UPS also boasts Auto Reset function, which gets automatically activated incase of overload short circuit. The Protection Circuit feature intimates the customer incase of low battery voltage and over current conditions. The Automatic Battery Level Management senses the increase in battery voltage at regular intervals and automatically sets the charging voltage, which helps increase the life of the battery. “Elantra” H – UPS is free from any humming noises and provides perfect power backup solution.

Priced between Rs. 7,000 to Rs.11, 000 Whirlpool “Elantra” H – UPS is available in 3 capacities – 600 VA, 800 VA and 1400 VA. The newly launched product comes with two years warranty and will be distributed through Whirlpool’s service partners and battery/inverter distributors nationwide.
