Royal Stag signs on Saif Ali Khan as brand ambassador

Superstar and the hero of 2004's biggest box office block buster - Hum Tum, Saif Ali Khan, is the the first Bollywood brand ambassador for the global brand Seagram's Royal Stag. He joins a list of illustrious brand ambassadors for Royal Stag which include Ricky Ponting, Harbhajan Singh, Stephen Fleming and Brett Lee.

Saif Ali Khan, at the press event to announce the endorsement, in Mumbai said, "I am very proud of being chosen by a premium brand such as Seagram's Royal Stag. I am sure that this association will be mutually beneficial."

Royal Stag will use its association with Saif Ali Khan for a range of activities which include two television campaigns produced by Red Ice - Sujit Sarkar and a print campaign shot by famed lensman Atul Kasbekar and created by Ogilvy & Mather.

Commenting on the endorsement, Sumeet Lamba, Executive Vice President - Marketing, Seagram, said, "We see a synergy between the core values of the brand and Saif Ali Khan. Saif is a young, contemporary star with an international appeal and is popular across demographics. These values make Saif a perfect fit for the brand."

Saif Ali Khan, the son of the Nawab of Pataudi, the world famous cricket champion Mansoor Ali Khan and legendary actress Sharmila Tagore has over the last three years seen great success. With successful films such as Dil Chahta Hai, Ek Haseena Thi, Kal Ho Na ho and Hum Tum behind him, Saif has just signed on to make 'Parineeta' with Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The relationship between Seagram and Saif Ali Khan was facilitated by Grapevine, the entertainment division of Mahesh Bhupathi's Globomedia.
