Over 550 jobs offered at the Naukri.com Job Fair

Over 550 jobseekers received a job offer at the Naukri.com Job Fair held at the Palace Grounds, Bangalore. The fair witnessed 35000 footfalls, and over 3600 candidates were shortlisted for further interviews. Besides hiring for current openings, it also helped recruiters build their candidates database for future requirements.

Recruiters were enthused by the response to the fair. Commenting on the fair, Nagaraj .M, DGM-HR, BOSCH Ltd said, "The Naukri Job Fair has been good and it has been truly a one stop-shop for our requirements. We have been successful in short-listing candidates for across functions."

On the occasion, V Suresh, National Head - Sales, Naukri.com said, "Over 45% of the jobseekers at the fair had over 2 years of experience, with a healthy mix of professionals from various sectors. We have seen a significant change in the recruitment pattern this year with sectors like Engineering, Insurance, Infrastructure, Construction, Retail and Telecom hiring more than the usually pre-dominant sectors like IT and ITes."

The Bangalore Job fair was a multi industry job fair, with 55 companies participating from across sectors including manufacturing, pharma, engineering design, telecom, finance, insurance, IT, ITeS and many more. The companies were hiring for openings in Bangalore and cities across India.

"Overall we had a very productive time during the past 2 days. We are happy to have elevated our brand image and also hope to make a number of offers across various levels of experience in the coming days. Thanks to the Naukri Job Fair," said Anupam Baruah, Director, MOOG.

Divya, an IT professional from Bangalore, who got a job offer at the fair was elated and said "I was apprehensive when walking into the fair, but I am glad I came. The job fair is a boon for people like me, who walk in with their CV and walk out with a job."

Naukri.com will hold its next job fair in Chennai on 27th-28th September followed by Hyderabad on 11th-12th October and Ahmedabad on 18th -19th October, 2008.
