Domino's Pizza, the market leader in organised pizza home delivery segment in India (source: The Food Franchising Report, 2009), on 24th September 2009 re-christened itself from Domino's Pizza India Limited to Jubilant FoodWorks Limited.

The company continues to be a part of the Jubilant Bhartia Group, and holds the Master Franchisee Rights for the Domino's Pizza brand and operations for the whole of India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

The CEO of Jubilant FoodWorks Limited; Mr Ajay Kaul, said, "The decision to change the name has been taken to align ourselves with the branding of the Jubilant Bhartia Group, promoted by Mr. Shyam S. Bhartia and Mr Hari S. Bhartia".

He added, "Our Company is presently engaged in the business operating Domino's Pizza stores in India and Srilanka. We believe that the food service industry has potential for significant further growth and we plan to leverage our market position and experience in the food services industry to introduce new international food services brands in India. The name change from Domino's Pizza India Ltd to Jubilant Food Works Ltd. is also in sync with this ambition of ours."

The Company is one of India's leading pizza chains with around 274 stores in 55 cities as on August 31, 2009. It has to its credit a range of products such as the Cheese Burst Pizza, the Calzone, the affordable Pizza Mania and the more recently launched Pasta range.
