Sport18, the sports marketing division of Network18 group and BSA Hercules joined hands to announce the second edition of ‘BSA Hercules India Cyclothon' that will take place in Mumbai on April 24, 2011. Having witnessed participation from over 6,000 enthusiastic cyclists last year for the event, this mega cycling event reinforces a cycling momentum in the city alongwith an environment-consciousness parameters. The much-awaited cycling track, at the Bandra Kurla Complex, will also be inaugurated by MMRDA on the day of the event. Young Bollywood star, Imran Khan will support this event and participate towards a cause of animal welfare. The Asian Heart Institute Charitable Trust will also be supporting the event to raise monies for heart ailments.
Present for the official launch of ‘BSA Hercules India Cyclothon - Mumbai 2011 were Viren Rasquinha, COO Olympic Gold Quest and ex-India Hockey Captain, Mr. Rajesh Mani, GM Marketing, TI Cycles of India and Mr. Satish Menon, CEO Sport18. The BSA Hercules India Cyclothon is taking place under the aegis of the Cycling Federation of India and is supported by MMRDA.

Viren Rasquinha, COO, Olympic Gold Quest and ex-India Hockey Captain said, "Events of this scale serve as a wonderful platform for sportspersons to display their skill. ‘BSA Hercules India Cylothon' - Mumbai 2011, will have participants from all walks of life, including amateur cyclists, cycling enthusiasts, working professionals, housewives and school children. The registrations for the event have already commenced and interested participants can register at www.bsaindiacyclothon.com. A dedicated helpline has also been instituted for participants on 9221738012 (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) The organizers have also partnered with animal welfare NGO's to promote the cause and a dedicated helpline 9619004646 has also been instituted for those interested in riding with Imran Khan for charity.

BSA Hercules India Cyclothon - India's largest celebration of cycling has left memorable footprints in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore since it's inception in 2009. The initiative nurtures the sport and promotes the love for cycling in India. The last edition of India Cyclothon-Mumbai was held on 21st February 2010.
