Sony Music acquires music rights of romantic comedy 'Student of the Year'

Sony Music acquires the right of the much awaited romantic comedy of 2012, Student of the Year. Co-produced by Dharma Productions and Red Chilies Entertainment, the movie is a launch pad for starlet debutants Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra.

Vishal - Shekhar are set to enthrall the audiences with some of the most romantic and fun filled songs with a young and fresh feel to it that will surely set the charts on fire.

Karan Johar's multi-starrer will launch the vivacious Alia Bhatt, daughter of the film icon Mahesh Bhatt, dynamic actor Varun Dhawan- son of director David Dhawan and the model turned actor Siddharth Malhotra. Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan have previously worked as assistant directors under Karan Johar in the past.

Student of the year is slated for release in October 2012.
