Celebrate Republic Day with the Indian television premiere of the captivating and gripping animated movie, Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix, on India’s number one kids’ channel Cartoon Network on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 11:00 am and 6:00 p.m. A Cartoon Network original show, Ben 10 launched on the Network on October 10, 2007 and immediately went on to become one of the most popular characters with kids’ across India. In fact, within fourteen weeks of launch, Cartoon Network became the No. 1 national channel during the show’s telecast. And now in its first ever animated movie, Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix - our young hero, Ben Tennyson, travels through the galaxy in search of the creator of the Omnitrix after accidentally setting it to self-destruct. Debuting as part of Cartoon Network Theatre, Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix, with the combination of all the heroic forces in a single Ben 10 movie, makes for ten times the drama, action and fun of one.

The show airs every Wednesday to Friday at 6:00 pm. on Cartoon Network and it is interesting to note that both boys and girls in the age group of 4-14 years have added to the programme’s viewership almost equally.

Created at Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, California, Ben 10 follows the exciting adventures of 10-year-old Ben, who discovers a strange alien device resembling a wristwatch called the Omnitrix inside a crashed meteorite. Once “the watch” permanently locks itself on his wrist, Ben discovers that he can transform into 10 different fantastic alien beings, each with unique powers and abilities—but only for 10 minutes at a time and all the while retaining his 10-year-old mind and personality.

As Ben learns to control these new powers, he decides to use them to right wrongs and fight evil. Once in a while, however, he can’t resist being a kid and using his new abilities to satisfy his curiosity. Fortunately his grandfather Max and cousin Gwen are there to keep him in check and bail him out of trouble when he needs it.
