Time Out Delhi, a classic guide for knowledge, information and events completes its 1st Anniversary issue this April 2008. Time Out is an entertainment and lifestyle magazine, that comprehensively guides readers through the fascinating range of entertainment and cultural opportunities that exist in the City. It is honest, critical and independent and written by a dedicated team that has sweated over every little detail to ensure that their readers don't have to. More than an insider's guide, the magazine comes with a unique voice to reach the audience.

The magazine is an insider's view on art, books, children, music, dance, films, wellness, TV, theatre, night life, food, shopping etc. The objective of Time Out Delhi has been to give Delhi-ites a complete list of options with detailed previews and reviews on all lifestyle segments.

Backed by Paprika Media, Time Out Delhi is the most recent addition to the internationally famous Time Out magazine after the Mumbai issue. It's a fortnightly magazine, priced at Rs. 30, with a circulation of 45,000 copies in Delhi and around 65,000 in Mumbai.

The magazine was first launched in London in 1968 by Tony Elliott using £75 given to him by an aunt as a birthday present. The first issue of Time Out appeared on the streets of London as a single poster-sized sheet, folded to A5 and costing one shilling. The magazine's aim was to provide Londoners with comprehensive listings of events and activities, and accurate reviews and reports on what's on in the capital. The first issue sold 5,000 copies, and a second issue followed three weeks later.

The current circulation of Time Out magazine currently stands at 87,308 copies sold each week with a weekly readership of 3,20,000. Today the magazine has established many editions worldwide like New York, Paris, and Dubai etc. Time Out has over 22 editions internationally and over 50 other publications as well.

Having completed a year in Delhi, the publishers of Time Out Delhi, Paprika Media, are now planning to widen the magazine's horizons by establishing editions in other metros. This will increase the strong foothold that they have in the Indian market.

Another first for Time Out, post setting up other editions in India, is that globally, India will be the only country in which over 2 editions of this magazine will be available.

Time Out Delhi has over the last one year helped inform, educate and enlighten many people in a city which has a plethora of events every week. The careful sifting of events, festivals, entertainment etc. are top priority for the magazine and, rest assured, will continue to be so for many years to come.
