MAX introduces song downloads

Hindi movie channel MAX will soon introduce a new SMS-based service called SingTone that will allow a viewer to download tunes of popular Hindi songs even as he or she is watching that particular number on the channel.

Viewers can download the tunes on to their mobile phones by following a few simple instructions, and above all, by sending their text messages to 2525.

Each downloadable number has a separate song code, and the service will be activated on December 4.
