He needs no introduction. He is the King of Bollywood; he is the highly acclaimed award winning actor. Besides acting, he also dabbles in film production and hosting TV shows. He is often referred to as the lover boy. Girls go wild over his scruffy look hairstyle and dimpled smile. To top it all, the quiver in his voice makes everyone rave for him. He is King Khan, "Shahrukh Khan".

Born to Mir Taj Mohammed and Fatima Begum, after the death of his parents, Shahrukh moved to Mumbai in 1991. The same year, he married Gauri in a traditional Hindu Wedding Ceremony.

He got his first break as a TV star and has acted in several serials like Fauji and Circus in the late 1980s. He made his film debut with the commercially successful Deewana in 1992. He formally studied acting under the celebrated Theatre Director Barry John at Delhi's Theatre Action Group (TAG).

Post his acting career success, Shahrukh started his own production company called Dreams Unlimited with Juhi Chawla and director Aziz Mirza in 1999. His first two films Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and Asoka did not do well in the box office. This did not deter his quest for success, as his third film Chalte Chalte which he produced and starred hit the box office. In 2004, he started another production company called Red Chillies Entertainment which produced the film Main Hoon Na which was another hit in the box office. Soon varied success followed, his life-size wax statue even made it to the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, London, installed in April 2007.

In 2007, he replaced Amitabh Bachchan as the host of the third series of the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati. On the next level is his passion for sports, Shahrukh bought the BCCI backed IPL's team Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008. In the same year, Newsweek named him one of the 50 most powerful people in the world.
