Anandabazar Patrika today announced its grandeur initiative of connecting with the Non-Resident Bengalis in the USA and providing a nostalgic taste of their motherland – Ananda Utsav in Los Angeles, at a Press Conference in Kolkata. After the stupendous success of the London Ananda Utsav held in March '10 at Alexandra Palace,London, Anandabazar Patrika is now spreading its wings to USA with the Anandabazar Patrika KKN Ananda Utsav 2010, to be held between 4th to 6th September 2010 at Pasadena Convention Centre in Pasadena, 9 miles north-east of Los Angeles, USA.

On this occasion Ms. Beth Payne, Consulate General, USA and Mr. Kausshik Kumar Nath, MD, KKN Group of Companies jointly unveiled the logo of the Anandabazar Patrika KKN Ananda Utsav, Los Angeles. With a fabulous bevy of artists and cultural performances, a dynamic exhibition with varied products and a gala celebrity dinner, Anandabazar Patrika KKN Ananda Utsav surely promises to be the largest and most talked about cultural festival in USA. The Pasadena Convention Centre, a new state-of-the-art 55,000-sft Exhibition Hall which has hosted events like the Emmy Awards and Broadway Musicals will be venue to the Anandabazar Patrika KKN Aananda Utsav for all those who live far away from their roots.

The Anandabazar Patrika KKN Ananda Utsav, Los Angeles will be broadly divided into four categories, namely a cultural festival with a mix of musical programmes, an exhibition offering shopping opportunities to people living in the US & authentic Bengali cuisine besides providing a platform for meeting of minds.The programme boasts of a never before seen line-up of artists who will entertain the audience with their unmatched talents and breath-taking performances. Day 1 will have performances by renowned artistes like Sharmila Tagore, Soha Ali Khan, Rejwana Chowdhury Bonna, Hariharan and James. Day 2 will see performances by talented artistes like Usha Uthup, Habib and a drama by Sohag Sen, Anasua Majumdar, Yama Shroff. The mega attraction of Day 2 would be the superbly talented father-son duo of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Aman Ali Khan and Ayan Ali Khan enthralling the audience. The Final day will comprise a drama by Gautam Halder, performances by Anjan Dutt, Ayub Bacchu culminating with a grand finale high voltage performance by Bollywood queen Sunidhi Chauhan. The entire programme will be anchored by the ever popular duo of Mir & Churni Ganguly.

The three-day Los Angeles Ananda Utsav aims at providing a never before experience to the non-resident Bengali in particular & the sub-continental diaspora in general.This initiative by Anandabazar Patrika is an endeavour to create a platform to promote the rustic exuberance of Bengali culture for the Bengalis settled in USA. Moreover, Los Angeles is an ideal destination for hosting an event like Ananda Utsav as there are approximately 30,000 Bengali families living in the USA and approximately 2000 Bengali and Bangladeshi families residing in Los Angeles. The fastest growth of Indian Diaspora has also been in the US for the last four decades numbering over 2.5 million in 2005.
