Following a multi-agency pitch, Percept H, Chennai, has won the creative duties for ‘My TVS’, the 360-degree car services division of the TVS Group. Carat Media Services is the AOR on the account. The size of the business is estimated to be around Rs 1.5 crore.

Although the names of the agencies couldn’t be ascertained, around four agencies participated in the creative pitch, which was held in July. The media pitch started a month later in August.

Says R Srivatsan, vice-president, customer centric business, TVS and Sons, “We plan to make ‘My TVS’ a global brand by the end of next year. Percept H has the requisite network, and it has displayed a comprehensive understanding of our brand. We are sure the communication will turn out to be effective for us.”

Suresh Mohankumar, branch head, Percept H, Chennai, says, “The strategy that we presented was highly practical and workable, particularly our below-the-line strategy. Our plan was in perfect synchronisation with what the client wanted to achieve.”

The communication mix will primarily involve press, radio and below-the-line activities such as on-ground promotions, events and tie-ups with certain petrol pumps.

‘My TVS’ is the integrated car service division of the TVS Group, which was started in November 2003. It is involved in post-warranty repairs and servicing of cars and buying and selling of second-hand cars. It incorporates an accident insurance claims repair division and an on-road emergency services division.

Currently, ‘My TVS’ has service centres in Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Kerala.
