It was O&M that shone the brightest at the Effie Awards, 2005, as it was honoured with six awards, including the People’s Choice Award for the best case study presentation and the Yahoo! Big Idea Chair Award. O&M was followed by Contract Advertising and McCann-Erickson on the awards list.

O&M also won awards in four other categories. It bagged the Silver trophy in the ‘Consumer Products’ segment for its advert on ‘Air Action Center Fresh’. McCann-Erickson bagged a Gold and a Bronze trophy in the same category for its Saffola Gold and HappyDent White ads. Lowe also won a Gold trophy in the same category for its Surf Excel advert. JWT was presented with a Bronze trophy for its Kellogg’s Corn Flakes ad.

In the ‘Consumer Durables’ category, O&M won the Gold trophy for its advert for Titan. Contract Advertising bagged both the Silver and the Bronze trophies in this category for its ads for Asian Paints Royale and Asian Paints Tractor Emulsion, respectively.

In the ‘Services’ category, Contract Advertising and O&M won the Silver for their campaigns on Domino’s Pizza and SBI Life, respectively. FCB Ulka bagged a Bronze trophy for its ad for Naukri.com in the same segment.

Leo Burnett was honoured with a Bronze trophy in the ‘Corporate Advertising’ category for its campaign on ‘Congress’.

O&M also won a Bronze trophy in the ‘Integrated Marketing Communications’ category for its campaign on IBM.
