ColorBar Cosmetics moves to Law & Kenneth

The media duties for this business are handled by Starcom India. The size of the business is estimated to be around Rs 8 crore

Law & Kenneth, Delhi, has bagged the creative duties of ColorBar Cosmetics, a KK Modi Group venture under the licence of ColorBar Inc, USA. The business has moved from Leo Burnett, which was handling the creative duties until recently.

Meanwhile, Starcom India continues to handle the media duties for this business, estimated at about Rs 8 crore.

It is learnt that no pitch was called for this business. Law & Kenneth contacted the company directly.

Asked for comment, Samir Modi, president and managing director, ColorBar Cosmetics told agencyfaqs! “Law & Kenneth presented an in-depth study on our brand’s performance in the Indian market. This is exactly what we were looking for. In fact, we found a synergy between what we and they thought about the brand.”

Sandhya Srinivasan, vice-president, strategic planning, Law & Kenneth, adds: “Our research and insights revealed that the retailing space is the most important aspect for the brand. We were also able to define the personality and behavioural traits of women and connect it with the brand persona eventually.”

The agency doesn’t plan to roll out a television campaign as of now, and the main focus would be on print, besides outdoor, retail promotions and below-the-line activities.
