As last year, this year too, no Indian has made it to the list of top 20 hottest creatives in Asia.

In the list of Asia’s top networks, maintaining its position at the top for three years in a row is Ogilvy & Mather. Saatchi & Saatchi is in second place. JWT, which was the No. 1 network last year, has dropped to third place this year. McCann-Erickson has climbed up four notches to No. 4, while Leo Burnett maintains its fifth position this year too. TBWA has dropped five places and is in seventh place this year. No. 8 is Young & Rubicam, then Dentsu, and at No. 10, Lowe Worldwide.

Coming to India, the hottest agencies are Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai, which is the India Agency of the Year. Next is McCann-Erickson Mumbai, and after that, JWT Mumbai, which was in first place last year. Fourth in the rankings is Leo Burnett Mumbai. After that come Rediffusion DY&R Mumbai; Ogilvy & Mather New Delhi; Grey Mumbai; Ambience Publicis Mumbai; Mudra DDB Communications Mumbai; and Everest Brands Solutions Mumbai, in that order.

As far as the list of hottest Indian creatives goes, Karan Amin of Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai is ranked as the hottest Indian creative of 2007. Prasoon Joshi of McCann-Erickson and Hital Pandy of JWT Mumbai are in second and third place, respectively. Sumanto Chattopadhyay of Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai is in fourth place. The fifth position is shared by Prahlad Nanjappa and Vivek Kakkad, both from JWT Mumbai.

Rajiv Rao of Ogilvy & Mather is No. 7, while Manish Bhatt and Raghu Bhatt are ranked No. 8 and No. 9, respectively. They were both with A Advertising in New Delhi at the time. In 10th place is Elizabeth Dias from Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai.

Many of the creative persons have since then switched agencies.

For the record, Campaign Brief Asia ranks agencies on the basis of awards won at the four big international shows, the D&AD, Cannes, One Show and Clio, and the AdFest and the Asian Ad Awards. India began to be included in the ranking in 2002.
