Indian Terrain, the men’s wear brand from the Chennai-based Celebrity Fashion, has awarded its creative mandate to Law & Kenneth. The media duties are handled in-house. The size of the business is close to Rs 10 crore.
The incumbent agency was Bengaluru based Fish Eye Creative. Though there was no formal pitch, the company was looking for fresh ideas. Film actor, Kunal Kapoor is the brand ambassador. Rajgopal, managing director, Celebrity Fashion says that it’s too early to say whether they will continue using Kapoor.

Anil Nair, president, Law & Kenneth says that the brand has been in the market since the year 2000 and it retails from 40 exclusive outlets and various other shops.
Rajgopal says, “Law & Kenneth has worked on various lifestyle brands before. Hence, it has relevant experience in this sector.”
Celebrity Fashion has been manufacturing garments since 1988. In the US, the Celebrity group supplies to brands such as The Gap, Armani Jeans, Timberland and Dockers. Celebrity also supplies men’s shirts to Marlboro Classics. In Europe, it supplies to brands such as Otto Versand of Germany and Diesel in Italy.
In 2005, Reliance Capital, part of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, picked up a minority stake in Celebrity Fashions.
While Indian Terrain offers premium men’s casual wear and office wear, Celebrity Fashions also launched a women’s wear line in June 2008.
Law & Kenneth’s clients include ITC, Bharti AXA, Skoda, Big Flix, Bombay Dyeing, Colorbar and Go.
