Sanjeev Gauba joins Law & Kenneth Delhi as senior vice-president

He moves in from Bates 141 Delhi, where he was senior vice-president.

Sanjeev Gauba, senior vice-president, Bates 141 has joined Law & Kenneth as senior vice-president. He will report to Sanjib Dey, chief operating officer, Law & Kenneth, and will be based in Delhi.

This development comes in the wake of Dabur's Fem (bleach and hand wash) and Uveda (face wash, moisturiser and fairness cream) accounts moving to Law & Kenneth from Grey Worldwide and Bates 141, respectively.

At Bates 141, Gauba was heading the Dabur business, including its oral care businesses (Lal Dant Manjan and Red Toothpaste), as well as its skin care businesses (the entire portfolio of brand Gulabari). He was also the man behind the launch of Uveda.

Gauba has also handled Artd'inox, a lifestyle brand of stainless steel products, and led the team for the repositioning of Zee News at Bates 141.

At Law & Kenneth, an important part of Gauba's immediate mandate will be to handle the newly acquired Dabur brands. Gauba, however, tells afaqs! that being responsible for Dabur is just a part of his total responsibility.

"I also look forward to actively pitching for new businesses and working on several new acquisitions that we will announce shortly. Dabur is an important part of my mandate, but it is one amongst several other accounts I will be handling here," he clarifies. Gauba further adds that Law & Kenneth is now poised for the next level of growth, and that he sees a great deal of personal growth at the agency, too.

Gauba has more than 19 years of experience in the advertising industry, and has worked with top creative agencies such as Mudra (Delhi and Mumbai) and Rediffusion Y&R. He has worked on brands such as JK Tyres, Nestle, Red Tape shoes, LIC, Air India, ING Insurance, Daikin ACs, Yamaha Bikes, 8PM Whisky and Magic Moments Vodka.

At Mudra Mumbai, he led a team of 38 people to launch 'Reliance India Mobile' - the CDMA mobile phone service.
