Goafest 2014: Grand Prix for JWT in Direct; for Alok Nanda & Company in Design

JWT India bagged the award for Bay beat Collective's 'Genomusic Project', while Alok Nanda & Company won it for India Bulls Group's 'The Rising' campaign.

The second set of Goafest 2014 Creative Abbys were awarded tonight in Goa. The awards were given away in nine categories - Print Craft, Outdoor & Ambient, Design, Direct, Branded Contents and three newly introduced categories - Broadcaster, Public Relation and Brand Activation & Promotion.

JWT India was awarded a Grand Prix for 'Bay beat Collective's '
Genomusic Project
' in the Direct category (Direct Response Digital sub-category). The sole agency to win a gold in this category was PHD India for HUL's '
Kan Khajura Team
' campaign in Direct Response Mobile Marketing sub-category. Out of the 55 entries received in Direct category, 13 were awarded.

The second Grand Prix went to Alok Nanda & Company for India Bulls Group's 'The Rising' campaign in the Design category (Environment Design sub-category). The company also won two gold awards for Filter Press' 'I Take This Train Too' campaign in 'Craft in Design - Copy' and 'Book/Diaries' sub-categories.

The Creative Abbys had received 188 entries in the Design category, of which 25 were awarded. Umbrella Design swept away three gold awards in the category, one each for Lawman's 'Be the Star- Lawman' (Publication sub-category), Integriti's 'The Spirit Called Youth- Integriti' (Publication sub-category) and Integriti's same campaign in 'Craft in Design - Typo' sub-category. Taproot India also won a gold for TOI's Farmer Suicide campaigns in 'Craft in Design-Illustration' sub-category.

There were three gold winners each in OOH and Ambient categories. In OOH, Draftfcb Ulka Advertising took away the metal for Zee 24 Taas' 'Riot' campaign (Media & Publications sub-category), Taproot won it for TOI's Farmer Suicide campaign (Corporate sub-category), and Dentsu India bagged it for Friendicoes SECA's 'Make New Friends' (Public Services Appeals and Charity sub-category).

In the Ambient category, the gold metals went to DDB Mudra Group for Country Inn Hotels' 'Earth Hour' (Special Build sub-category); Alok Nanda & Company for India Bulls Group's 'The Rising' (Special Build sub-category); and Web Chutney Studio for Only Much Louder's 'Wasted Bin' campaign (Digital Outdoor sub-category).

In the Branded Content category, MTV India won a gold for CEAT MTV Chase The Monsoon campaign (Best Non-fiction Program Series or Film sub-category); Milestone Brandcom won it for Viacom18's Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (Best Use or Integration of Experiential Events); Contract India for First Post You Speak's 'Talk Don't Just Type' campaign (Best Use of Integration of User Generated Content sub-category); Digital Law and Kenneth won two gold awards for Idea's Idea M-ID campaign (Best Use or Integration of Music sub-category) and Tata Capital's 'Half Stories - The Journey of Doing Right' campaign (Best Non-Fiction Program Series or Film sub-category).The awards were given to 21 entries out of 54.

JWT India won two gold awards, one each for IPL's Sirf Dekhne Ka Nahi campaign and Bay Mukti Foundation's Genomusic Project, in Brand Activation & Promotion category's Media and Publications and Corporate sub-category. Candid Marketing won the metal in the same category for Nokia Agent '1020' campaign (Telecom Products & Services) sub-category.

In the Broadcaster category, STAR Sports won two golds, one each for 'STAR Sports Refresh Launch' (Best Launch of a TV channel sub-category) and 'ICC Women's World Cup 2013' (Best TV Sports Channel Program Promo sub-category). STAR India bagged a gold for 'Saath Hai Hum Uttarakhand' (Best TV Program for Cause Related Marketing); Multi Screen Media for 'Sirf Dekhne Ka Nahi IPL campaign' (Best Launch of a TV program using Multi-Media sub-category); Headlines Today for 'Right to be Heard' campaign (Best TV News Channel Promo sub-category). There were 99 entries and 33 metals were given away.

JWT India bagged one gold Abby each for Godrej Security campaign and Nestle Kitkat campaign in the Print Craft category's Art Direction for Print Advertising and Best Use of Illustration sub-categories. Umbrella Design won a gold in the same category for 'Be the Star - Lawman' (Art Direction for Below The link Work sub-category). Taproot India bagged a gold award for TOI's Farmer Suicide campaign (Best Use of Illustration sub-category) as Kukooness won the same metal for Papers by Kyoorius' 'You are a Dingbat' (Best Use of Typography sub-category). Out of 189 entries that the award council received, 27 were awarded.

Four agencies won one gold each in the Public Relation category. The agencies were IBS for Old Spice's 'Mr. Mantastic Says- A Public Relations campaign that built a Mantastic brand' (Consumer Goods: Toiletries, Cosmetics & Healthcare sub-category); Madison World for 'Puma India' Foray & Leadership in Running category in Just One year' (Luxury Goods, Fashion & Accessories sub-category); Publicis India for Apollo Tyres' 'The Adopt a Pothole Project' campaign (Automotive Vehicles & Accessories); and Paradigm Plus Marketing Communication for Mahadhan Mahapower's 'Ek Atoot Nata' campaign (Events & Experiential PR sub-category). There were a total of 42 entries in this category and awards were given to 24 of them.
