Goafest 2015: Lodestar UM Wins 3 Gold Awards

Presenting the Media Abby Winners! Besides Lodestar, agencies that won Gold awards this year include Cheil India, Initiative, MEC, Mediacom Communications, Mindshare, TBWA Sri Lanka, Vizeum India, Mindshare Srilanka and Zenith Optimedia. All these agencies bagged one Gold each.

Lodestar UM has won maximum number of Gold Abby Awards at Goafest 2015 – three! The agency has also won four Silver and two Bronze awards, taking its total metal tally to nine.

Lodestar won its first Gold for its work on Zest from Tata Motors, in the Best Use of TV category. The name of the entry is 'The Best Of TV Become The Zest Of TV'.

Lodestar's second Gold was for its work on Tata Motors – Safari Storme. Titled 'The Real SUV becomes a Reel Hero', the entry belongs to the Best Use of Cinema category.

Finally, Lodestar's third Gold was for its campaign titled 'U Can' for Nerolac. The category is Best Use of Ambient Media.

Besides Lodestar, agencies that won Gold awards this year are: Cheil India, Initiative, MEC, Mediacom Communications, Mindshare, TBWA Sri Lanka, Vizeum India, Mindshare Srilanka and Zenith Optimedia. All these agencies bagged one Gold each.

Mindshare won its Gold for its 'Make Every Yard Count' campaign for Nike. The category is 'Best Use of Digital Display Advertising'.

Cheil India's Gold was for its Halonix Safer City Project for Halonix (Best Use of Outdoor category).

Vizeum won its Gold for its work on MTV Campus Diaries. The entry 'India's Largest And Coolest College Connect Platform' belongs to a category titled 'Best Use of Experiential including large events'.

Zenith Optimedia won its Gold in the 'Best Use of Special Events & Stunts/Live Advertising' category for its campaign for Olx.in. The entry is titled 'The Great India Collectors' Ride'.

Mediacom Communications won its Gold in the 'Best Use of Digital Search' category, for its 'Misspell Search' campaign for Snickers.

MEC's Gold is for its #DriveSafeDad campaign for Ceat Tyres. The category is Best Use of Mobile Media.

Initiative's Gold is for its MTV Rex Talk campaign for Durex, in the 'Best Use of Digital Content Creation Strategy' category.

TBWA Sri Lanka's Gold was for its 'Big On Respect' campaign for Ceylon Today & Mawbima National Newspapers (Best Use of Newspapers and Magazines category).

Mindshare Srilanka won its Gold for its work on Lifebuoy ('Lifebuoy rallies Srilankan Mothers to a Guinness world record' campaign) in a category titled 'Best Use of Integrated Campaign (South Asia)'.

When it comes to singling out a winner, the colour of the metal/s won usually trumps the number of metals won. Even so, volume matters: This year, Mindshare has won maximum number of metals – 11. These include a Gold, four Silver and six Bronze awards.

Madison Media has won 10 awards in all (including five Silver and five Bronze).

In all, 74 Media Abby Awards were given away this year. Of these, 12 are Gold, 23 are Silver and 39 are Bronze.
