D&AD Awards 2016: Balakrishnan 'Balki' Rajagopalan is jury foreman, Film Advertising Crafts

Prasoon Joshi has been selected as jury foreman, Writing For Advertising.

D&AD Awards 2016 has named Balakrishnan 'Balki' Rajagopalan, chairman and chief creative officer, Lowe Lintas & Partners as jury foreman for Film Advertising Crafts, while Prasoon Joshi, chairman, McCann Erickson India will be jury foreman for Writing For Advertising, respectively.

Four other Indians have been selected as jurors. They are Agnello Dias, chairman and co-founder, Taproot India (Press Advertising Jury), Anil K Nair, chief executive officer and managing partner, Digital L&K Saatchi&Saatchi (Mobile Marketing Jury), Mohor Ray, co-founder and designer, Codesign (Book Design Jury) and Shanoo Bhatia, co-founder and director, Eumo (Branding Jury).

Entries sent for the 54th D&AD Professional Awards need to have been commercially released between January 1, 2015 and March 18, 2016. It should have been produced in genuine response to a client brief and must not have been entered in previous years. Submissions in original language should be made latest by February 17, 2016.

Tim Lindsay, chief executive officer, D&AD, says in a press statement, "We didn't want to call it a "festival" without delivering exactly what people would expect, an event that buzzes with creative energy. This isn't just a chance to meet the makers of some of your favourite creative work, it's a forum to listen to what they have to say about our industry and be inspired. None of this would be possible without the participation of our dedicated jurors, they are the ones who bring the D&AD awards to life."

For the record, D&AD stands for Design and Art Direction.
