The activity targets 30,000-40,000 drivers during the two-week long initiative.

It's often said that our eyes are the windows to our soul as it is through them that we experience the intangible emotions and experiences around us. Yet, we hardly bother to get our eyes checked regularly.

The two-week long activity which commenced on July 4, will continue until July 16, at Ola's offices in Noida and Gurgaon, and will be supported by optometrists from Lenskart. As part of the initiative, in addition to free eye-check-ups, Lenskart has also issued vision check cards to the drivers and is also offering spectacles at low costs, with a minimum price of Rs 299, to those who want to avail of the opportunity. Additionally, it is also offering special discounts on the complete eyewear range for those drivers who are interested in purchasing it.

Deep Singh, business head -- North, Ola, adds, "A good vision is very important to ensure that our driver-partners perform their duties in the best possible manner. It goes a long way in ensuring safety on the roads. Our association with Lenskart will enable free eye check-ups and spectacles at special discounted rates for our driver-partners. Initiatives like these fall in line with our endeavor to create a robust ecosystem for our driver partners to grow holistically while they drive Ola's mission of building mobility for a billion Indians."

The company, in a press release, claims that more than 3,000 driver-partners have already visited the eye check-up camps, and over 10,000 drivers stand to benefit from the initiative.

Over the last two years, Ola has taken up various financial and social initiatives for its driver-partners. These include partnering with Indifi for personal loans, and Bajaj Allianz for providing motor insurance solutions to its drivers. It has also set aside a fund of Rs 100 crore as investment in the driver ecosystem to help nurture entrepreneurship. The company has also initiated 'Ola Stars', the first-ever rewards-oriented programme in India for its drivers. The programme includes personal and professional benefits ranging from insurance, scholarship for children, and skill development training for family, to fuel discounts and car-servicing benefits.
