Kataria is an active member of the Executive Council of the Indian Society of Advertisers (ISA).
Sunil Kataria, business head - India and SAARC, Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), has been elected chairman of the Indian Society of Advertisers (ISA). The decision was taken at the meeting of the newly elected Executive Council of the Indian Society of Advertisers held yesterday.
Kataria joined GCPL in 2011 to oversee the sales and marketing of the organisation's India and SAARC businesses. Prior to joining the Godrej Group, he was chief operating officer at Idea Rajasthan Circle.
Kataria has diverse work experience across the FMCG and consumer services sectors in sales, marketing, and business roles. He's also had a 12-year-long stint at Marico Industries, following which he served as business head in retail and telecom sectors, leading large and complex business operations.
On his election as the chairman of ISA, he says, "Our focus would be to further strengthen the industry partnerships that we have built over decades and deliver the desired benefit to advertisers and other stake holders. I am confident that advertisers have promising times ahead. I look forward to work with industry partners and fraternity associations as a team and make this a credible, meaningful, and business impacting ecosystem."
Kataria, as an active member of the Executive Council of ISA, has been lending support to the ISA, while his colleagues from marketing and media have been active in different committees of the organisation.

ISA, which claims to be the only national body giving a voice to advertisers over the last 60 years, has advertiser members from across industries who contribute over two-thirds of the annual national non-governmental ad spends.
ISA is also a founder member of the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) and one of the founders of the ASCI. It also played a significant role in the formation of BARC, and partners with it to help advertisers get robust and credible data.
