Trending: Evian's latest 'Baby & Me' film

53,404,212 (and counting!) views on YouTube since April 19. What IS it about dancing babies?

When almost every other ad during last year's Super Bowl was found to feature either a dog or a baby in it, critics in the West said the advertisers were 'playing it safe'. Is the formula for successful advertising that simple -- toss in an infant or a canine to grab consumer attention? Or shall we say aww-tention?

It sure seems to work for French bottled water brand Evian. The brand that recently released its 'Baby & Me' film online has already received an unbelievable number of page views on YouTube; the kind of stuff Guinness Records are made of. Seriously! The brand currently holds the Guinness Record for the 'Most watched video of all time'. This is for its 2009 film that showed babies on roller skates performing dangerous-looking stunts.

The 'Roller Babies' film is reportedly the third most-watched campaign of all time, with 206 million views at the time of its release. Every few seconds the film halts, as does the soundtrack and the product benefits of the brand briefly appear on the screen as text against a pink background. No such subliminal messaging in the latest film, though; this one, apparently, has viewers grooving to a remixed version of 'Here Comes the Hotstepper' while asking them to 'Live Young' (Well, that young?).

Whether these 53,404,212 (and counting) online viewers are asking themselves this question, we'll never know.

And no, no one will think you're a heartless person if you find the babies a little... creepy.
