LIC Nomura Mutual Fund names Rajesh Patwardhan as chief marketing officer

He was previously with Deutsche Asset Management (India) as head of sales for banks and national distributors.

LIC Nomura Mutual Fund Asset Management Company has announced the appointment of Rajesh Patwardhan as its chief marketing officer with immediate effect.

Patwardhan's experience spans over 28 years, which includes 22 years in the financial industry. Previously, he was with Deutsche Asset Management (India) as head of sales for banks and national distributors for 12 years. Prior to that, he was with the ICICI Bank for two years as regional head of sales for Mumbai and handled the institutional and retail sales for third party products. He has also been associated with Tata TD Waterhouse Securities and Vans Information and Investor Services.

LIC Mutual Fund entered into a joint venture in January 2011 with Nomura Asset Management, Japan (LIC Mutual Fund set up in 1989 by the Life Insurance Corporation of India and Nomura Asset Management Strategic Investments PTE, which is a Japanese financial conglomerate). LIC continues to be the sponsor of LIC Nomura Mutual Fund.
