After rolling out an extensive advertising campaign to widen its audience base in India and make it relevant to the audience here, it has launched a new series on Indian aviation
BBC World is strengthening its focus on India. After launching an extensive marketing campaign around the channel’s relevance to the Indian audience, it has launched a first ever series on Indian Aviation. The series is called ‘Take Off’ and will be aired every Tuesday at 9 pm.
The six-part series highlights the highs and lows on the business of the Indian Aviation industry and opinions by leading industry experts on the developments and issues such as infrastructure to airline personnel as well as the rise of the budget airlines and privatisation and future of the sector.

A multimedia promotional activity will be undertaken for the series. Vaishali Sharma, head, marketing and communication, BBC World India, says that the communication will span across mediums such as outdoor, print, internet and radio.
About the show, Sharma says, “The show is part of our endeavour to bring India on to the globe and coincides with our philosophy of showcasing global events to our viewers.”
