Kelly Brook, who unveiled the Pringles ‘flavour cloud’ is also the second most popular person Britishers would love to share a snack with.
Kelly Brook is no stranger to marketing stunts. The English model, actress and television presenter who is also famous for her role in the NBC sitcom One Big Happy does not mind surprising her audience.
The World’s First Edible Flavour Cloud is how Kellogg’s (which owns Pringles) put it when they asked Brook to unveil the concept. The flavor cloud machine crunches the Pringles and turns them into a vapour cloud that consumers can experience.
All Londoners had to do was step into the cloud that tasted like the UK’s favourite Pringles flavor – sour cream and onion. The stunt was created by ‘flavourologists’ or food scientists commissioned by Kellogg’s. The development was touted as one of the food developments that Britishers would like to see in the near future.
Pringles’ future food technology survey also threw up predictions such as a pill that delivers all the flavours in a meal and a snack drawer that automatically replenishes stock.
“I had such a fun day launching the “Pringles Flavour Cloud!!..” Apparently, this is the future of snacking and I was voted the person that UK peeps most want to snack with,” tweeted a gleeful Brook later. Six years ago, Brook had surprised viewers in a cinema in London’s Clapham by handing out bottles of Carlsberg as part of a promotion.
