Polaroid, the world leader in instant film cameras, introduced four new digital cameras in the country today. The Polaroid range of cameras have been launched by MCC Group, the exclusive partners of Polaroid in India. This marks Polaroid’s maiden foray into the digital camera market in India. The new Polaroid Digital Cameras are available to the discerning Indian customers through MCC Group’s national sales and distribution network across 30,000 retail stores in 16 cities.
Adding colour to the digital camera market, Polaroid has introduced for the first time a seven megapixel glamorous pink coloured Polaroid i733 Digital Camera. The new line up of digital cameras also includes Polaroid i1032 (10 megapixels), Polaroid i832 (8 megapixels) and Polaroid i533 (5 megapixels) Cameras in gunmetal grey.
Aiming to capture 10 per cent of the digital camera market in the first year of business with Polaroid’s range, Mr. Ajay Mehta, Managing Director, MCC Group, said, “Polaroid has been the world leader in the photo imaging market. We are proud to partner them in India. The new Polaroid Digital Cameras, with their advance features, promise to be the best buys for our customers.”
The digital camera market size in India is estimated at 400,000 units per annum, growing at an annual rate of 12 per cent.
The new Polaroid Digital cameras have a large bright coloured 2.5” TFT LCD screen, the largest in this class, for previewing images before you shoot. It delivers a bright, clear image by reducing reflection and glares, even in bright sunlight. Its 3x Optical Zoom-4x Digital Zoom enables the avid photographer to capture the best shots. The new line up of digital cameras offer customers a choice of 10, 8, 7 or 5 megapixels resolution and an in-built storage capacity of 16MB or 32MB. The distinctive attribute of the Polaroid i733 and i533 cameras include 60 minutes of movie clips with audio on a 1 GB memory card. The cameras feature inbuilt auto flash and red eye reduction for flawless pictures. Additional accessories include camera skin, USB cable, TV cable, wrist strap, 2 ‘AA’ batteries and CD ROM image editing software.
MCC Group has introduced exciting introductory offers for customers. A TD200 DVD player and 512MB memory card comes free with the purchase of Polaroid i1032 Digital Camera while a 512MB memory card is provided with every purchase of a Polaroid i832 Digital Camera.
