Mastek names Ram Mohan as President and Chief Operating Officer

Mastek, a leading IT solutions player with global operations providing new technology and IP-led enterprise solutions to insurance, government, and financial services organizations worldwide, has named Mr. A. V. Ram Mohan as its President and Chief Operating Officer.

As President and COO, Mr. Ram Mohan will be responsible for driving Mastek’s global operations and business performance. He will be based at the company’s corporate headquarters in Mumbai. Mr. Sudhakar Ram, who will continue as Chairman and Managing Director, will now focus on key strategic initiatives and oversee progress on strategic accounts and large deals.

Prior to joining Mastek, Mr. Ram Mohan was President (UTG) at Infotech Enterprises, responsible for the Utilities, Telecom and Government verticals there. Before that, he was Senior Vice President (BPO Projects) at Satyam Computers, where he was also responsible for e-Business and B2B e-Commerce.

Mr. Ram Mohan’s appointment is in line with Mastek’s intent to create a robust management bandwidth to spearhead and sustain rapid growth going forward. The company expects to deliver a 35% revenue growth in dollar terms for FY2008 over FY2007 (after excluding contributions from the erstwhile DC JV).

Mr. Ram Mohan holds degrees from IIT Kharagpur and IIM Ahmedabad.
