DT Cinemas unveils Gurgaon's first multiplex

Gurgaon is all set to experience its first Multiplex being launched by DT Cinemas at DLF City Centre next week. Spread over 48,000 sq. ft. on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road, the DT Cinemas' City Centre Multiplex will unleash an entertainment revolution. Three screens with a seating capacity of 1014 and a host of facilities covering retail, food & beverages and entertainment, the DT Cinemas' City Center Multiplex offers exclusive value added items that are unique in styling, looks and options.

The Mall also houses F&B outlets like Turquoise Cottage, Pizza Hut, Mojo, Buzz and retail outlets such as Lifestyle, Heritage Bon Ton etc. The concept, look and feel of the Multiplex is credited to Hafeez Contractor, the world-renowned architect who handles a majority of DLF projects.

Audio Visual Experience

For complete visual & audio experiences, DT Cinemas has brought in the latest state-of-the-art projection systems from Christie, a US-based world leader in projection technologies. Advanced screen masking techniques along with automatic formatting technology has been adopted to further enhance viewing pleasure. This Multiplex will be one of the first to provide Digital Tri-amplified Three-way Extended Surround sound.

Security Measures

DT Cinemas will set new standards in security arrangements for the Multiplex Industry. Says Kajal Aijaz, CEO, DT Cinemas "In today's scenario security has assumed prime importance. We at DT Cinemas have extensively researched and implemented the best security measures for the Multiplex at City Centre."

The Company is adhering to the latest in security measures with the introduction of equipments like fire resistant fabrics, smoke detectors, beam detectors, sprinkler systems, panic bars on doors, fire signs with battery back-ups and strategically located fire exits.

The staff, from the usherers to the top management, has been trained in fire fighting techniques and first aid. Fire-fighting drills will be conducted for the staff of the Multiplex and the Mall every month in association with the local fire station department. In addition to this, bouncers dressed in plainclothes will be on the move during rush hours and lady guards will be present inside the multiplex.

Unique Facilities

DT Cinemas provides access to watching movies to a wider audience through competitive pricing of tickets. The Company has tied-up with KLICK Services for home delivery of tickets not only in Gurgaon, but also in Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Noida. Along with telephonic and online facilities, ticket booking is also available through SMS.

Parking, which has become a menace at most complexes in Delhi, has been especially taken care of by DT Cinemas. The floodlit surface and basement parking can accommodate over 1000 cars. There is a unique Drivers Canteen, which serves tea, coffee and snacks at nominal rates. The canteen, along with the parking lot, is equipped with PA system to facilitate driver call announcement facility provided at the entrance to the mall. Besides this 24 hour taxi-on-call service is also available.

DT Cinemas, part of the Rs. 1,000 crore real estate major - DLF Group, is bringing in the film exhibition revolution to India by setting up state-of-the-art multiplexes across the country. The Company plans to be the largest national player in the family entertainment centre (FEC) segment in the next couple of years.
