"Christel House Open Golf 2007" - the premier charity golf tournament presented by PUMA was held in Delhi today at Qutab Golf Club, Lado Sarai. Representatives of corporate world were in full attendance; sports icon Kapil Dev and suave cricketer Ajay Jadeja were also present to extend their support to the cause espoused by this premier charity tournament by Christel House.

With the objective of raising funds to educate under-privileged children and break the cycle of poverty, Christel House (a non-profit organization for under privileged) has been organizing the International Golf Tournament - Christel House Open Golf for last five years across the globe; in India, this is considered as the premier charity golf tournament in the country.

Vikram Madhok (MD - Ambercrombie & Kent India Pvt. Ltd), Vipin Luthra (MD - Ansal Colonisers and Developers Pvt. Ltd.), Anil Malhotra (Director Corporate Communications - Deutche Bank), Arun Khanna ( VP, MD, Hair Telecom) teed off to mark the opening of the Christel House Open Golf 2007. More than 50 teams participated at the league that included representatives from Citi Bank, Standard Chartered, American Express, Axis Bank, HDFC, HSBC, Canara Bank and many more. Commented Kapil Dev, "After cricket, Golf has been my second love and it is an absolute pleasure to play for CH Open for the second time"

In the spirit of the cause and the game, the participants teed off enthusiastically making the event an interesting watch. The winner, first and second runner-up was rewarded with a week stay in Bali & Goa besides other wonderful giveaways.

Speaking on the occasion, Raju Shahani, Executive Advisor for Christel House said, "We are extremely thrilled at the extent of support for this premier charity event and hope that the Christel House message will spread further through this initiative. The winner in "Category A" was Mr.Sharad Das with 41 points and the winner of "Category B" is Mr.Sanjay Bhalla with 44 points.

The Longest Drive award was given to Mr Kapil Dev for his 290 yards drive.

Mr Deepak Nath won the "Closest to the Pin" award.
