Celebrating festive season with fervor, Tourism Malaysia the nodal agency to promote Malaysia as a preferred tourist destination, today launched its winter season holiday package. This holiday package offers the travelers an option of choosing from any one of the three tropical island getaways of Langkawi, Penang and Pangkor clubbed with an excursion to Malaysia's cosmopolitan capital city Kuala Lumpur.

Competitively priced at INR 29,999 for 5 nights and 6 days the package includes return airfare, airport transfers on SIC basis, accommodation in star category hotel with breakfast, two nights in Kuala Lumpur including half a day sight-seeing to Eye on Malaysia Ferris wheel, Aquaria KLCC and KL Petronas towers.

While the three islands getaways offer their own distinct attractions to travelers to enjoy, be it the sunny beaches to sightseeing. The Langkawi island itinerary includes Mangrove tour and Langkawi cable car ride, alternate to this Pangkor island trip offers soft adventure activities to the travelers, which includes snorkeling trip and sight-seeing at historical trails of Dutch Fort and Chinese temple. Hence this package offers right element of winter revelry in Malaysia’s three tropical island getaways of Langkawi, Penang and Pangkor aligned with visit to Kuala Lumpur, as the city gears to host Year End Malaysia Sale and much awaited Busker Parade in December. We anticipate 25% increase in arrivals from India during the three months from October till December.

Destination Malaysia continues to register a consistent double digit growth from the India market. By July 2007, 260,271 India travelers have already made visit to Malaysia registering an overall increase of 62%. World-over tourist arrivals to Malaysia continue to surge ahead during the ongoing Visit Malaysia Year 2007 registering an increase of 23.9% with over 12,404,377 from January to July 2007.
