Virgin Atlantic announces frequent flyer partnership with Jet Airways

Virgin Atlantic announces today that it has launched a frequent flyer partnership with Jet Airways. This means that Flying Club members and JetPrivilege members can earn and redeem miles when they fly on either airline.

Through this partnership, Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club members can take advantage of Jet Airways’ domestic network and the various destinations that Jet Airways flies to in the Far East or to the West through its Brussels hub. Jet Airways’ JetPrivilege members can now access a choice of destinations on the Virgin Atlantic network beyond London Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club members will be able to earn and redeem their Flying Club miles on Jet Airways’ over 355 daily flights to 44 destinations in India or to its international destinations like New York (JFK and Toronto}, London Heathrow, Brussels, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Colombo, Kathmandu and Dhaka.

Effective 20th December 2007, JetPrivilege members will be able to earn and redeem JPMiles on all Virgin Atlantic flights to over 30 destinations worldwide, including North America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and Australia.

As a special offer to mark the commencement of this partnership, both Jet Airways and Virgin Atlantic are awarding their respective frequent fliers double miles, when they fly each on others’ airlines (excluding flights on the Mumbai– London and Delhi-London sectors). This offer is valid for flights taken between 20th January 2008 and 20th April 2008.

Virgin Atlantic operates daily flights between Mumbai and London Heathrow and between Delhi and London Heathrow. Jet Airways connects Mumbai, Delhi, Amritsar and Ahemdabad to London Heathrow through its daily flights.
