Yahoo! India the leading Internet and media communications company celebrated its fourth anniversary in India with a touch of difference. Representatives from the corporate and media world took part in Yahoo! India Fours - an absolutely offbeat and fulfilled cricket tournament.
As many as 40 teams representing corporates like Pepsi, Hutch, Rediff.Com, Baazee.Com, Media Turf World Wide and media houses like Zee, CNBC and Exchange4Media took part in this indoor cricket tourney which had its own set of rules like 4 players a side, four balls an over, four stumps etc. Media Turf led by their CEO, V Ramani emerged the winners of Yahoo! India Fours defeating the team of four from Peoples Group in the finals. Sanjeev Agarwal, Managing Director World Gold Council (Indian Subcontinent) who was the guest of honour for the evening, presented the special Yahoo! India Fours trophy to Ramani.
Speaking on the occasion, Neville Taraporewala, Country Manager, Yahoo! India said We wanted to do something different for our fourth anniversary and what better way than to associate with a sport which is the pulse of the nation.
