KOBIAN Ltd, the Singapore-based manufacturer of Mercury-brand motherboards and other components, has announced the launch of Mini ITX KM Series innovative design cabinets to meet the ever-increasing demand for attractive and good-looking small form factor cabinets. The casing design is a ‘SLIM’ design best suited for Micro ATX motherboards.
The basic reason for the demand of Mini ITX casings is because of the increasing real estate price and increasing in the demand of small form factor PCs based on 45 nanometer architecture. These PCs are not only small but also powerful and power efficient. So the users find it more space on their desk tops by using these PCs.
In keeping with the market trend all these casings are available in black and in combination of black & silver color to cater the various customer segments and economic strata. The front side USB interface makes it convenient for the users. The cabinets come with Serial ATA connectivity. Sandeep Sharma, VP, India Operations, Kobian Pte Ltd. Said, “Targeted at the small form factor PCs, Mercury Mini ITX KM Series cabinets are the latest offering from us. With the ATOM CPU catching on we envisage an increase in sales for the chassis of the same. Not only these cabinets are smaller in their footprints but also make less carbon impact on the environment and gobble less power.”

Currently Kobian offers products that go into building a PC. This includes motherboards, cabinets, speakers, cases, DVD media, graphic cards and UPS.
