Global Marketing Technology and Services provider EBS Worldwide (www.ebsworldwide.com) has acquired the New York City-based Sudden Industries (www.suddenindustries.com), a boutique, high-end digital marketing services firm.
Sudden has been in the vanguard of digital marketing in the media and entertainment sector in the US, providing cutting-edge brand, creative and new media technology solutions to almost every major music label, television company and publishing/media enterprise, including names like Sony/BMG, Universal Music Group, ESPN, Showtime and MTV, to name just a few.
The company leverages advanced methodologies and processes in the areas of brand identity, user experience, technology, creative and design to help its clients achieve targeted, rich experiences on the Internet & other new media platforms with deeper customer connect and enhanced revenues. Its core team consists of domain experts drawn from evolving digital disciplines, and has a flexible, distributed delivery model, making Sudden one of the benchmark companies in the rich media, Web 2.0 enabled era of global marketing.

Sudden was founded by Mr. Robert Holmes, a Grammy-nominated music industry veteran and ex-founder of the ‘Rubber Rodeo’ band. Bob has been a witness to and catalyst for the influx of digital marketing in the North American media sector, bringing in an unparalleled insider’s perspective to harnessing the potential of evolving, new media. He is supported by Ms. Lan Wong whose earlier stints include senior level assignments with Pseudo Programs, Inc. and Flonetworks, Inc. (acquired by DoubleClick in 2001).
This is EBS’s third deal since the acquisition of US-based Interactive Marketing Group, Inc. (now known as ‘EBS Interactive (Americas), Inc.) in March 2006 and the merger of the New Delhi-based EON Premedia (www.eonpremedia.co.in) in September 2008.
