BPL Mobile, Indias Premier Mobile phone service provider, is launching an SMS Chain Messaging game to create excitement and fun for the New Year for their existing large subscriber base. The game is organized with the approval of LIMCA Book of Records for an entry to the LIMCA Book of Records-2004 for the longest chain message under the category of Chain Messaging.

The essence of this game is to challenge individuals to create the longest chain message by creating their own groups and sending greetings. The idea to create the longest chain message via SMS brings the BPL Mobile subscribers on a common platform through fun, excitement, to bond and to keep in touch through SMS (Short Messaging Service).

The group of subscriber creating the longest chain message is entitled for an entry to the Limca Book of Records 2004 edition under the Chain Messaging Category

Happy New Year 2003 is the single greeting message to be appended in the message by the subscribers and sent to the large BPL Mobile fraternity of over one million subscribers across the four networks - Mumbai , Maharashtra& Goa , Tamilnadu and Kerala. The steps to initiate the game and carry it according to the terms are well defined. The first step is to create a group with a key word and a four-letter name; Cre, for example Cre and send to 333.
