Shoppers' Stop launches first store in Kolkata

Shoppers' Stop, India's premier shopping destination, today launched its 1st store at Lala Lajpatrai Sarani (Elgin Road) in Kolkata. The 12th in the series of Shoppers' Stop outlets, the store will offer customers a truly enjoyable, value-for-money, international shopping experience. Customers can choose from over 200 brands, avail of superior service and a great ambience, all under one roof. To fulfill distinct needs, the store will offer a complete range in Mens Wear, Women's Wear, Kids Wear, Home collections, Footwear, Cosmetics, Jewellery and accessories. The store has approximately 45,000 sq.ft of shopping space.

The Ground Level houses the Cosmetics and Accessories section, which includes perfumery, jewelry, watches, sunglasses, Facet Shop - the precious jewelry shop, Tanishq, etc. Crystals from Swaroski and Ladies and Men's footwear is also available on this floor.

Level 1 will offer a wide selection of clothes for women from western wear to Indian ethnic wear including the popular Mix 'n' Match section where customers are offered a chance to create a Salwar Kameez by mixing and matching various salwars, kurtas and duppatas on offer. Also available for women is the lingerie section and sarees from Modern Silk House.

Level 2 houses the Home Collection, kidswear and toys, kids play area, baby nursery, denimwear, casualwear and Royal Sporting House which offers the best brands and the latest sportswear collections.

Level 3 is dedicated to the Men, offering them a wide range of merchandise from the country's leading brands. From shirts to trousers, ties and suits and semi-formal attire, the section stocks everything that a man requires in his wardrobe. This section also houses Barista Coffee Bar, First Citizens' Desk and Citibank Financial Services.

Emphasis is given to customer convenience by providing seating on all levels, 34 large carpeted fitting rooms with seating (4' X 5') , kids play area , a baby nursery , a Coffee Bar , Alteration desk that promises speedy alterations , large Cashiering Banks on each floor , roomy shopping bags available at different points of the store in Shopping Bag Caddys and convenient and friendly signages to assist in an easy shopping experience . The physically challenged have access to every part of the store through the ramp at the entrance and elevators connecting each floor. The lift is provided with Grab Bars to assist a comfortable ride.
