Tech Mahindra expands BPO operations in Kolkata

Tech Mahindra, one of the largest solution providers to the global telecom industry has now enhanced its presence in Eastern India by setting up a new BPO Centre in Kolkata. The facility will focus on providing end to end customer service delivery to Telecom Service Providers. The Kolkata centre will primarily be servicing Reliance Communications’ operations in the first phase of ramp up. However, it would cater to other clients in the future. The centre will have about 1000 seats in the initial ramp up with 500 seats coming up in end July 2009 and another 500 in the end Aug 2009 time frame.

This is Tech Mahindra’s 5th BPO unit in India. The company already has centres in Noida, Pune, Chandigarh and Chennai and two overseas centres in Belfast and New Castle. This new center would be equipped with the latest Voice and Data technology , green desktops, high class security, 24X7 cafeteria, PA system, Plasma TVs, Conferencing facilities and World Class work environment and aesthetics.
