With our 2005 specially curated initiative, Karmasutra- mind, body and spirit, we explore the universal search for peace, spirituality and well being, with wide-ranging events on subjects such as wellness food, aromatherapy, the healing power of stones and gems to music, vaastu shastra and yoga. The range is unending supported by a wide selection of titles on these subjects. An impromptu interaction of two minutes for kids on the topic 'Who or what is God?' is also on the cards, with attractive gifts for the winners. The initiative is designed to engage all age groups.”

Seen earlier as a western concept, New Age practices are really traditional, with roots in India and the east. In India the New Age philosophy harks back to traditional practices and transcends all aspects of life. It symbolizes an open acceptance of spiritual beliefs, which earlier were considered private. It is in fact a free-flowing spiritual movement where people share their common beliefs and practices with each other. The movement has made inroads into every genre of society with celebrities like Mahesh Bhatt, Rhea Pillai, Vinod Khanna in the East and Madonna and Sting, in the West making it a part of their daily lives. Through its national curated event, Oxford Bookstores have explored a topic that is gaining popularity and relevance with people from all walks of life.

Around the world, thousands seek insight and personal growth and cluster around a metaphysical bookstore, a spiritual teacher, or an education center. Karma Sutra aims to highlight this issue
