With an aim to consolidate its position in the mobile value added services market, Spice Digital has embarked upon a drive to strengthen it's intellectual capital with the appointment of Mr. Unnikrishnan B Nair as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). This recent appointment epitomizes Spice Digital's success and growth by offering value-added services to various Telecom companies in the ever growing and highly competitive Indian telecom industry.

In his role as the CMO, Mr. Nair will be responsible for all Product and Brand Management of Spice Digital's range of B2C and enterprise VAS products.. He will be a key driver in Spice Digital's efforts in bringing to the mobile telephony market some for the most advanced and innovative mobile value-added-services. The Indian telecom market will present a pleasant challenge to Mr. Nair in marketing these services to mobile telecom operators at a time when the focus is expected to shift to VAS services.

Saket Agarwal, CEO, Spice Digital said, "Over the last few years, Spice Digital has seen tremendous growth in its business. However, the market is becoming extremely competitive as it prepares to witness yet another revolution in the telecom industry. Unni's varied experience in marketing, sales and operations across industries will help us offer more creative and innovative products through a more robust and integrated marketing approach, thereby meeting the rapidly evolving needs of our customers.

"The present day environment in the telecom sector presents us with tremendous opportunity - Tariff wars in the present day and the introduction of services in future like number portability are likely to compel operators to provide customers with new and innovative VAS products for retention as well as increasing ARPUs. Both new as well as established operators would want to offer service differentiators to their consumers and we are confident of being able to cater to these market dynamics, "said Unnikrishnan Nair, Chief Marketing Officer, Spice Digital.
