Avon Beauty Products India (P) Ltd., one of the leading direct selling companies announced the appointment of Mr. Hemant Singh as the new Managing Director. He will be responsible for driving growth and the expansion of the company's market share in India. His extensive knowledge and vast experience will provide a new direction to the company in India.
Mr. Singh joined Avon Asia Pacific last year as Executive Director Business Development and has more than 27 years of strategic planning and management experience. He succeeds Mr. Sebastian Bako, who spent two and a half years with Avon India.
India is an important market and as Avon transforms itself into a fully integrated, agile and more innovative global company, Mr. Singh's deep business insights and outstanding leadership will be instrumental in enhancing the brand value in the country.
Mr. Hemant Singh on his appointment as Managing Director, Avon India said, "Avon is a globally renowned company with a strong heritage. Prior to his association with Avon, Mr. Singh has served Modicare Ltd. for 7 years where he acquired the position of Chief Executive Officer. He began his career with Hindustan Lever Ltd where he worked for over 14 years followed by 6 years stint with PepsiCo. Apart from his professional responsibilities, he had been associated with IDSA as Vice Chairman, had been the member of Global CEO's council of WFDSA & also been a speaker in WFDSA World Congress XIII.
