The Monsanto India Limited (MIL) Annual Report 2009-10, won the Gold Award in the 'Agribusiness' category at 'The League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) Vision Awards' - The World's Largest Annual Report competition. The MIL Annual Report titled, 'The Difference is Change' scored 97/100 and is ranked # 19 among the top 50 Annual Reports worldwide. More than 4,400 entries were received for the 2009/10 Vision Awards comprising submissions from more than 25 countries.

Speaking on the occasion, Amitabh Jaipuria, Managing Director, MIL said, "We are thrilled to receive this prestigious recognition for our shareholder communication. The MIL Annual Report helps us in our efforts to reach out to critical stakeholders and effectively communicate our leadership in innovation, our commitment to India and Indian farmers, and to sustainable agriculture. This award from LACP is indeed a matter of pride as it acknowledges our creativity, transparency and consistency in communication."

The MIL Annual report 2009-10 was created by Monsanto's Communications Team and Atherstone Investor Communications Limited (AICL). Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Agrawal, Chief Executive Officer, AICL said, "The MIL Annual Report was an important milestone for AICL as a communications consultancy. Working with one of the world's most talked about companies and ensuring that the message of 'change' permeates through the report was an enjoyable challenge. LACP Vision Awards recognizes the outstanding annual reports of the past twelve months and includes entries from organizations in the top 10 of the Fortune 500 to non-profits aiding individual communities, and sectors ranging from healthcare, technology, and utilities to financial services, chemicals, amongst others. Leading Indian companies - IL &FS, Indofil Organic Industries, J&K Bank; and global organizations - Cisco, Rogers, Tyco, Whirlpool, LG, Bieserdorf, Hutchison Whampoa were some of the other companies who feature in the Top 50.
