Easter is the season of new beginnings and what better way to celebrate this than spread the joy and happiness on the faces of under privileged children. Westin Mumbai Garden City, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.'s (NYSE: HOT), invited children from Bal Vikas Bhavan to spend a fun filled evening at the property.
In keeping with the true spirit of the festival, the Westin team welcomed the children with open arms. What followed was a day of fun, frolic and entertainment. It was smiles all along as the clown enthralled the kids with this spell binding acts. There was excitement in the air as the kids got down to making their own Chocolate Easter Egg under the guidance of the chefs from Westin. These beautifully decorated Easter Eggs are up on display and available for sale till 24th April 2011. To further their support towards Bal Vikas Bhavan, Westin Mumbai Garden City will share 25% of the total collections received from the Easter egg sale.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sushil Sharma, Hotel Manager, The Westin Mumbai Garden City said, "We have always believed that the children are our future and we need to nurture them. It has been a wonderful experience having children from Bal Vikas Bhavan join us in celebrating Easter. We surely hope that we have made some difference in the lives of these lovely kids."
The Easter Eggs are on display at Prego Pronto, the gourmet Italian Deli, Westin Mumbai Garden City and will be available for sale from 16th April to 24th April 2011.
