Quick service restaurant chain, Fast Trax Food today announced that it will invest Rs 50 crore to expand its network by opening new stores in Delhi-NCR, besides entering Rajasthan and Haryana this fiscal.

To drive the expansion the Delhi-based firm, a subsidiary of Hind Agro Industries Ltd, is also considering franchise route and will focus on large format outlets in order to attract heavy footfall.

Fast Trax Food Director Samar Qureshi said, "Till now we have focused on building our brand in consumers'' mind. In this financial year, the plan is to operate total 50 outlets, compared to 22 outlets at present. The company will invest Rs 50 crore in expansion, marketing and branding related activities which will be funded through internal accruals. Besides expanding presence in Delhi and NCR, we also have plans to enter Haryana and Rajasthan.”

Currently, all the 22 restaurants sized between 800 square feet to 3,500 square feet are company operated.

The company is getting a lot of inquiries from people for franchising. A few of the new restaurants planned this year will also be franchise-run. This route will help us expand faster across the country.

Fast Trax had in the past partnered with the Hockey World Cup, the Commonwealth Games and Delhi IPL team that has helped it in brand building. The company is eying break-even within this fiscal and is expecting to become profitable by the end of this year on the back of cost effective practices.
