b blunt creates waves with the hairstyles of 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'

The trendiest hair-dos donned by Movie-stars often inspire fans to follow suit. With the super-hit movie – “ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA” released in July, b:blunt offered refreshing new looks that have become quite the craze among Bollywood fans and fashionistas alike.

Directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Farhan Akhtar, the season’s most anticipated film ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ has been declared a box-office success. The movie based on friendship and adventure, boasted a star-studded cast of Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin and hairstyling by b:blunt’s Osh Bhabani, Avan Contractor and Walter Dorairaj enriched the characters they played.

“Each hairstyle was tailor-made to suit the character”, says Mr. Osh Bhabani, Director, b:blunt. “We gave Kabir (played by Abhay Deol) a strong and edgy look with a lot of texture to suit his fashionable, rich-kid image and Imraan (Farhan Akhtar) was given a boho-inspired fresh and lively cut that’s effortless and very boyish”, he explained.

Shot in the exotic locations of Spain, the hairstyles blend into the scenic locales of Costa Brava, Seville and Bunol. And the movie highlights the change in each of the characters during their bachelor’s party-style adventure.

“Arjun’s (played by Hrithik Roshan) fashion evolves with his character as the movie progresses. The transformation from a straight jacketed perfectionist to a more relaxed individual is reflected in his hairstyle as it goes from smooth and sophisticated to a more casual look” mentioned superstar stylist and recipient of the 2011 Vogue Beauty “Hairstylist of the Year” award - Avan Contractor. “Laila is a free-spirited girl which translates into her hairstyle through beautiful movement, textured-feel and longish length while Natasha’s look is rich and expensive with a chic and classy style”, she adds, describing Katrina Kaif’s and Kalki Koechlin’s characters in the movie.

Having styled for a multitude of blockbusters, b:blunt has continued their trendsetting streak with the short, simple hair, boho looks and sun-kissed curls in “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara”.
